A very big thank you goes to Lauren Hurst who raised a wonderful amount of money by holding a cake sale at Oldham Sixth Form College, where she is a student. Lauren’s fundraising was in honour of Joshua.
We would also like to acknowledge the support of Lauren’s friend, Sarah and their fellow students and the college staff for supporting the event, making it such a great success.
Lauren told us, “I decided to raise this money to help children like Joshua. This condition controls their everyday lives and I wanted to do something to help them. The money I raised will hopefully change their lives by giving them opportunities to help their condition.
Everyone at my college was wonderful with the support they gave and was very interested to know what the condition was, how it affected people and why I was doing it for this cause. I was so happy that people where interested and that I could open there eyes to the things that affect children like Joshua.
I feel the fundraising went amazing and I wouldn’t have been able to do it without my friend Sarah. I hope the money makes a change.”
