We would like to thank and congratulate the wonderful Natalie Anderson and her champion family members who recently won £10,000 in ITV’s All Star Family Fortunes. Natalie and her family were playing against the Olympic gold medallist and sporting legend, Sir Steve Redgrave and his family.
The £10,000 that TV actress Natalie and her family team won has been shared equally between the Myotubular Trust and a Rotarian charity, which is another cause close to Natalie’s heart, making a real difference to the lives of the children she knows.
Natalie’s inspiration for raising funds for the Myotubular Trust is 15 year old family friend, Harry, who has myotubular myopathy. Harry and his family have been huge supporters of the Trust since inception in 2006 and we are so grateful to them too.
Natalie has been a wonderful supporter for years, helping to raise the profile of the Myotubular Trust through her TV celebrity connection, while also providing some amazing fundraising support. As well as having a beautiful singing talent, she has acted in a number of TV soaps and dramas, and currently plays TV Emmerdale’s ‘Alicia Harding’ .
Natalie and her family were all such great sports on the show – it was fantastic to watch, with the team racing to hit the buzzer first in the head-to-heads, winning them the chance to answer the questions and cash prizes! The Trust received many excited messages and texts too from affected families and individuals who really enjoyed watching the show and seeing the profile of myotubular myopathy being raised by Natalie and her family on this popular national TV show!
Our thanks again and very many congratulations to Natalie and her family!
