Join us at 11.00am on Sunday 14th September for a new Hope Walk for 2025 – the Liverpool Hope Walk.
Our annual Hope Walks have been held since 2008, having been instigated by a wonderful group of supporters to whom we will be forever grateful. The walks, wherever they take place, share a common goal – to raise research funds to continue the work of finding a treatment for myotubular and centronuclear myopathy.
This year, we are delighted to be holding our first Liverpool Hope Walk which is being organised by our loyal supporter, Kate, who has planned, tested and photographed the route, in memory of her son, Noah.
The walk will start on Thomas Steers Way, Liverpool ONE, meeting promptly for a quick ‘hello’ and to have a group photo taken. Then setting off, at whatever pace suits you best, we go through the Royal Albert Dock and along the River Mersey to enjoy a scenic autumnal walk. Along the way you will take in some great landmarks including the Beatles Museum and The Tunnel of Green Love Hearts. You will also get to cross one of Liverpool’s swinging bridges.
The 5km mark is at The Stone House restaurant where you can grab a refreshment and then turn around to complete a 10k route, or you can end there and catch a bus nearby back to the city centre (buses run every 30 minutes).
You will be sent your own downloadable map ahead of the day so you can walk at your own pace and stop and start at your leisure, and we can also provide information on public transport and parking options.
Registration couldn’t be easier. Simply email contact@myotubulartrust.org letting us know you can join us, and we will send you registration instructions and information about setting up your fundraising page.
The event will provide an opportunity to meet other supporters and we would love to see you there if you can make it!
