Thank you to Hayley Ball who organised the 12th Jack Blunsdon memorial golf day, which was a huge success. Massive thanks too to Dave and Karen, Jack’s mum and dad, and their family, friends and colleagues who supported the event, and to the trophy sponsors, CNC Limited.
We are so glad that you had another fantastic day and really appreciate your continued support in Jack’s memory. “Team Jack” have raised more than £20,000 now for the Myotubular Trust and it was fantastic to hear that this year Dave and his team won the tournament. Congratulations “Team Jack”!
Dave told us: “It’s that time of year again!!
We held the 12th annual golf day in memory of our son Jack who sadly passed away on his 1st birthday in 2007.
This year the tournament was held at Goodwood Park Course on August 18th with 47 golfers taking part. The tournament was won this year by my team, “Team Jack”, who finished 11 under par in a Texas Scramble competition.
A big thank you to my sister, Hayley Ball, who organised the day and to my partner and Jack’s mum, Karen, and my Dad, Don Blunsdon, who helped out on the day on the golf trolley with drinks, chocolate and fruit as well as geeing up the boys to keep the course moving! All golfers who took part helped raise over £2,000 this year through voluntary donations as part of their entrance fee, and bidding on golf vouchers which were kindly donated by various golf clubs around Sussex to help raise even more money for this cause which is so very close to our hearts, to help fund the genetic research.
This year the trophies were kindly donated and sponsored by CNC Ltd, Shoreham by Sea, very much appreciated by us all. The winning team were myself, Dave Blunsdon, Sean McKeown, Andy Boxall and Chris Scarborough. The 3 ‘Nearest the Pin’ trophies were won by Graham Lind (Director of CNC Ltd) and the other two by Steve Farrell.”
Thank you one and all – we’re so pleased you had a great day.
