I am really proud of what our colleagues have done and are doing. Focussing our fundraising efforts for Myotubular Trust this year has unified the whole company, we are working successfully together in teams for a common, hugely deserving and worthwhile cause, which brings out the best in everyone. I feel the cause has energised Christie & Co – David Rugg, Chairman.
Corporate fundraising has huge benefits for everyone. It promotes goodwill and team building amongst colleagues and ‘making a difference’ can really help to boost morale. For us, company support helps to increase awareness of the myotubular and centronuclear myopathies to a much wider audience than we can achieve on our own.
Above all, the help and funding provided for a rare genetic condition like ours, can make a real life-changing difference to our patient community.
We have enjoyed successful and mutually rewarding partnerships with a range of companies. These make a fundamental difference to our ability to pay for new and innovative research.
We have been adopted as charity of the year; been provided with funding through charitable events; been given pro bono help, received sponsorship for event costs and t-shirts, and our research funds have been boosted significantly thanks to matched funding schemes
Whether you want to arrange an event tailored to your own firm, some fresh ideas to kick-start your corporate fundraising, or to make us your charity of the year, please contact Melanie Spring.
Here are just a few examples of how we’ve been helped:
The Texel Foundation supports our running costs every year.
Christie & Co and Medicare First have sponsored the t-shirts for our fundraisers since 2006.
Nightingale Austen Designs created our logos and our event programmes.
Tradeweb sponsored the making of our 10 year anniversary film.
Capgemini Consulting provided us with volunteers for many Trust events and advice from their Graduate Corporate Development Consultancy Team.
A 30 strong ING Winged Feet team completed the London Marathon.
Ernst & Young Holland celebrated their 25th birthday by choosing 5 charities to benefit from €125,000, and we were nominated by staff to receive a share.
RBS chose us to receive the donations for Dress Down Day in memory of Archie McInerney.
Net Communications host our website.
Many companies have matched all or part of the sponsorship raised by supporters.
Several local and national companies have donated auction and raffle prizes to support our fundraising events.
From the smallest office cake-sale, to the biggest corporate team effort, we are very grateful.
Thank you for helping us!
These are the companies and organisations who have regularly and generously supported the Myotubular Trust and who have helped us ‘find strength’.
