Our 2024 London Hope Walk was simply wonderful, thanks to the great supporters of Myotubular Trust. The sun shone brightly from start to finish as over 90 walkers walked 10k over 10 beautiful London bridges.

The atmosphere was, as ever, very special as we walked in memory of, and for, many loved ones. A ‘guest of honour’ walked with us this year too – Jo Martin – one of the three supporters who came up with the idea of the London Hope Walk back in 2008. It was fantastic having Jo with us, and to be able to remind her, and everyone else who joined us, what a difference this event makes – it has now raised over £250,000 since inception in 2008.

New friendships were struck up en route and our ‘seasoned walkers’ had great fun catching up with old friends too – it is one of the highlights on the Myotubular Trust calendar. Thanks to the glorious weather, we were able to display the Myotubular Trust t-shirts, as you’ll see from the photos in the album*, courtesy of our wonderful supporter, the talented photographer, Chrysoulla Kyprianou Rosling.

We are hugely indebted to those who joined us for the walk, and to all who donated and sponsored them. As a result, a lot of money has been raised, every penny of which will go towards funding future research into myotubular and centronuclear myopathy.

We are already looking forward to the 2025 walk!
