John Fitzpatrick and Mark Byrnes have taken on the challenge of competing in an Olympic distance triathlon at Tatton Park on the weekend of 8th – 9th September in memory of Joshua Seville who sadly lost his life to myotubular myopathy last year at age 11.

Joshua had a fantastic zest for life which inspired everyone who met him and he never let his condition get in the way of having fun. He was clever, funny and always happy and he would be proud to know that he is still helping to raise money to try to find a cure for myotubular myopathy.

If you would like to sponsor John and Mark, please visit their online fundraising page –

The Tatton Park triathlon comprises of a 1500m swim, 38k bike ride and 10k run and John and Mark have undertaken a gruelling training programme in preparation for the event.

We would like to thank them for their tremendous support and we would also like to thank their families for supporting them throughout their training.

Good luck to you both!
