While many of us struggled to find something to keep us occupied in the early days of lockdown, that definitely wasn’t the case for one lovely supporter, Irene Turnbull.
Irene took up her needles and hook and began to knit and crochet the most adorable dolls and bears to raise funds for Myotubular Trust, inspired by her gorgeous grandson, Charlie.
In return for her industrious creativity, Irene asked for donations which resulted in a lovely sum for the charity. We are sure that the new owners of these sweet and beautifully made wool characters are very happy with them too!
We love Irene’s handiwork (being particularly fond of the ‘masked health-bear workers’!) and are incredibly grateful to her and to all who made donations in return for a lockdown momentum.
