Massive congratulations to our long term supporter, Jennie May, who completed the Milton Keynes marathon on 6th May.

Jennie ran the marathon, her first ever, to mark the 10th anniversary of the death of her beautiful baby boy, Nathaniel who had myotubular myopathy.

Jennie told us, “The marathon was great! I can’t believe how well it went given that I was dreading it …. I completed in 5 hrs 11 mins together with my 2 running buddies who had been training with me. And annoyingly for everyone else, I really didn’t suffer too much the following day!”

Waiting at the finish line were Jennie’s girls, along with her mum and husband, Chris, who were undeniably proud and shed tears!

Not only has Jennie completed the marathon, she is joining us at the London Hope Walk too to continue her fundraising, and will be joined by Chris, Nathaniel’s eldest sister, Annie, and her father-in-law, Rodney.

We can’t wait to see Jennie and her family, and are delighted to have an opportunity to congratulate and thank her in person for all she continues to do in support of the Trust.

Well done Jennie – what an amazing achievement!
