Over 150 of our supporters joined us this year across the walks in Liverpool and London and it truly was quite something to see so many people in our new t-shirts, in our common goal to find a treatment for myotubular and centronuclear myopathy.
Our 2025 Liverpool Hope Walk
In Liverpool on Sunday 14th September, we met at the iconic Liverpool sign. It was a little chilly but, thankfully, the rain held off for the first half of the walk. Despite the fact that we were soggy when we finished, the mood wasn’t dampened in the slightest. Our route, courtesy of our friend and supporter, Kate, took us along the historic Albert Docks and we got to see some well known landmarks along the way.

Our 2025 London Hope Walk
The following weekend on Saturday 20th, we gathered on London Bridge with the stunning backdrop of Tower Bridge behind us. From there we set off across 10 of London’s iconic bridges, taking in some famous landmarks en route to our final destination, Battersea Park.

Funding Research Since 2008
Our fundraising target for the walks has been well and truly surpassed. The Hope Walks alone, since we began them in 2008, have funded two substantial 3 year research projects, and we are indebted to those who joined us in fundraising, and to all who so kindly sponsored them.
Together We Are Stronger
The sense of unity at both walks was truly special. Supporters who have joined us year on year enjoyed the chance to catch up whilst families who were walking with us for the first time had the chance to meet others who have shared their experience. And we, naturally, loved the opportunity to see everybody and to thank them in person for their support.
There are a few special thanks to make here too – Kate for organising our Liverpool Hope Walk route – it was perfect; Duncan and the team at McCarthy Stone for our t-shirt sponsorship; Chrysoulla Photography for the stunning London Hope Walk photos and Team Jack for joining us for the double this year!
Here’s to doing it again in 2026.
