Well done and thank you to Ben – Stacey – James – Shane!
We have been fortunate to have had four incredible supporters taking to the streets of Brighton, London and Belfast recently and running marathons in support of the Myotubular Trust. Ben, Stacey, James and Shane all completed their runs in honour of children they know who have been affected by the condition, Monte and Pearse. We are incredibly impressed and grateful to them all for their help. We simply cannot congratulate them enough – those medals were well and truly deserved!
We also extend our thanks to their friends and families who supported them during their training and also on their big days. They are all amazing, as are their very generous sponsors.

Ben said: “I was inspired after my friend’s little boy passed away. As fate would have it, the marathon was on the same week of the anniversary of Monte’s passing. I want the money raised to give people hope.”

Stacey said: “When the run felt hard, I remembered that I was running for the bravest boy who is always so strong.”

James said: “To hear people cheer me on, and scream Pearse’s name was just an unbelievable feeling.”

Shane said: “I have run numerous Marathons around the world but on 30th of April I ran Belfast City Marathon in aid of a special little man called Pearse.”
