Thanks to our wonderful supporters, the 2023 London Hope Walk really was a very special event. We were joined by over 60 friends, old and new, the majority of whom had travelled long distances from across the UK to join us.
We were also delighted to have been joined by Erin and Mark Ward, (MTM-CNM Family Connection), who flew from Boston to be a part of the day, walking in memory of their son Will. Likewise, it was very special being joined by Jacqueline who had travelled from the Netherlands to walk on the day that would have been her son, Ingo’s, 19th birthday.
The atmosphere was as we walked in memory of, and for, many very special loved ones was so uplifting, and many new friendships were struck up en route. Our ‘seasoned walkers’ had great fun catching up with old friends too.
Seeing so many of our old friends and getting to meet new friends is one of the highlights on the Myotubular Trust calendar. And how fantastic they all looked in those Myotubular Trust t-shirts, as you’ll see from the photos in the album*, courtesy of our wonderful supporter, the talented photographer, Chrysoulla Kyprianou Rosling.
We are so grateful for the support, fantastic company and the many steps that were taken by all of our walkers to join forces and collectively raise the funds that make a difference to the future of research for myotubular and centronuclear myopathy.
We are already looking forward to the 2024 walk! Do consider joining us.
