Our Flagship Hope Walk.

The 10k, 10 bridges Hope Walk was pure joy from beginning to end and thankfully the rather damp and chilly weather forecast proved to be wrong.

We were joined by 68 walkers, 9 families and 4 dogs and, as ever, it was a wonderful opportunity to catch up with our old friends and to meet some new ones too.

Many of our walkers made long journeys to take part, several of whom travelled a day early to be able to join us, but we would like to give a special mention to Amanda who joined us from Australia!

We were treated at the finish line in Battersea Park to the most divine homemade brownies and flapjacks, courtesy of Filippo, who baked them as part of his volunteering for his bronze Duke of Edinburgh award, and who organised the whole picnic too. Thank you Filippo.

Photos are courtesy of our long-time supporter and friend, Chrysoulla Rosling, who once again so beautifully captured the atmosphere of the day – many smiles, much laughter and new friendships too.

There was some great fundraising and this event has raised over £7,300 in valuable research funds to help us continue our work – massive thank you to our fundraisers and their sponsors.
