We are immensely grateful to Aaminah and Raabiah who undertook their first 10k run this summer, inspired by one year old Hasnain, who has myotubular myopathy.

Aaminah and Raabiah took to the streets of Slough to prepare and train for the big day – determined to do well in the London 10k.

Aaminah told us, “After experiencing the support and guidance provided by Myotubular Trust first-hand, we decided to run the Virgin British 10k with the aim of raising as much money and awareness as possible for the charity.

On the day of the 10k, we were determined to finish, finding a strong sense of motivation from all of the money we had raised for the charity as well as the support from family and friends. We finished with a personal best for both of us, money raised well over our target for the charity and a huge increase in awareness of the condition which we hope to continue doing.

The work being done by Myotubular Trust is life-changing with the research being conducted and the unwavering support they are providing to the children and families affected by the condition. No effort is too small to make an impact and we hope to continue working alongside the charity to help make a positive difference :)”

Congratulations Aaminah and Raabiah and massive thanks for your tremendous support and fundraising. And thanks to your very generous sponsors too!
