By taking on the task of writing ‘A Short History of The City of Leicester College’, Myotubular Trust supporter Bob Childs has raised a significant amount of money for both the Trust and Muscular Dystrophy Campaign. Bob has centronuclear myopathy and is a wonderful supporter of both charities.
Having been a history teacher for many years at the City of Leicester School, Bob recently wrote this formal recording of the School’s history on the occasion of a major rebuild. On the 29th June, at the unveiling of a plaque to commemorate the old school building, Bob was presented with a very generous cheque for Myotubular Trust by city mayor Sir Peter Soulsby. We would like to congratulate Bob on a very well written and illustrated book. It has clearly proven very popular.
Thank you so much Bob for all that you continue to do.
