We have had a great long term relationship with Christie & Co since we set up the Trust in 2006. We are delighted therefore to share the good news that they have raised over £35,000 for the Myotubular Trust in 2017!

Christie & Co has the largest team of sector specialists in the UK and one of the largest group of hotel specialists in Europe. The son of a colleague of Christie & Co is affected by myotubular myopathy which is why everyone there has felt so compelled to support us.

Taking us to their hearts in the past year, they planned fantastic ways to fundraise and help raise awareness of our charity – with some great personal sporting achievements made too along the way. Fundraising activities have ranged from naming sheep, cake and bake sales and raffles, walks, a triathlon, rowing, climbing Ben Nevis and Three Peaks, and Ironman, 300,000 steps, and more recently to holding an online auction featuring items kindly donated by their contacts within the Hospitality Industry. The final event of this stacked fundraising calendar will be taking place on Christmas Day with a sea swim at Exmouth!

The people of Christie & Co have been an absolute pleasure to deal with over the past year. David Rugg, Chairman of Christie & Co, said “I am really proud of what our colleagues have done and are doing. Focussing our fundraising efforts for Myotubular Trust this year has unified the whole company, we are working successfully together in teams for a common, hugely deserving and worthwhile cause, which brings out the best in everyone. I feel the cause has energised Christie & Co”.

The Myotubular Trust is hugely grateful to everyone involved in the fundraising effort at Christie & Co for their fantastic efforts on behalf of our patient community. Their support will go a long way to help improve the lives of children and adults affected by myotubular and centronuclear myopathy.
