The Myotubular Trust is delighted to be receiving sponsorship in 2016/17 from Christie & Co, the UK’s largest business sales specialist. Since the charity was set up in 2006, Christie & Co has supported our work with donations, t-shirt sponsorship, attending flagship fundraising events and sending out our charity cards, to name a few.

In the spirit of Easter & Spring, full advantage was taken of the birth of Exeter based Anthony’s flock of Wensleydale sheep which had their first two sets of twins; three ram lambs and one ewe.

In return for a donation, names for the new-borns were put into the proverbial hat and Anthony drew out a name for each of the lambs – winners each received a bottle of wine.

There was no shortage of creativity amongst the entries – suggestions included Sheepy McSheepface, Lady Baa Baa, Jean Claude Van Ramme and Wool. I. Am.

Thanks to the organisers and to all who took part and congratulations to the winners.

Tup-perware, Yum!, Rambo and Roger, we hope you and Anthony like your new names….

A team of 23 staff from Leeds, Manchester and Newcastle upon Tyne offices are taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge in June.  Some of them took part in a practice climb of one of the peaks.

We’re are so glad that the sun shone for you and that it all went well.  We wish you all the very best of luck with the remainder of your training and with the event itself.  Thank you!

In the South West Region the fundraising drive was kicked off with an Easter Raffle with a selection of nine prizes to be won.

The raffle was a huge success and was drawn on Friday 7 April 2017 by Zak Hughes – who has myotubular myopathy – in the Exeter office.

Many thanks to Robyn and Jo for organising the raffle and to all who brought tickets.  We hope the lucky winners enjoyed their prizes.
