We would like to extend our endless thanks and congratulations to Ruby, Rebecca, John, Michelle, Matthew, Jonas, Paul and Stuart, an intrepid group of work colleagues. who recently completed the Lake District “Buttermore Horseshoe” challenge. The determined team hiked 22.8km which involved climbing six peaks with a total ascent of 1,758m. Despite the 45mph wind, and the rain and cold weather that they faced that day, the team all completed the challenge safely.
The team took on this demanding physical and mental challenge in support of Claudia and Daniel, whose 2 year old son, Eric, was born with X-linked myotubular myopathy. The hikers wanted to raise both awareness and research funds to help Eric and other children living with the condition.
We simply cannot thank them all enough for their tremendous support. Likewise, we would like to thank their very generous sponsors.
We are truly grateful and would like to congratulate them all again – that really was a tough event and one to feel proud about completing.
