Pupils, staff and parents of St Joseph’s Primary Academy in Cleethorpes, supported a few charities, including Myotubular Trust by holding their very own ‘Bake Off’, inspired by the popular series on British television.

Teacher, Mrs Bradley, told us, “the children paid 50p each to eat the cakes in an afternoon tea and cake session, whilst adults paid £2 each.

Entrants in the bake off completion also paid a fee to enter their masterpieces, with the exception being for entries in the ‘best class bake’ category.

There were several categories – best parent cake; best pupil cake; best teacher bake; best class bake and best ‘spirit of Christmas’ bake.”

The creativity, time and effort that clearly went into each and every cake was clear to see from the photos that we received. We truly appreciate the support of all who arranged this successful and fun event, as well as that of all who baked cakes and helped the pupils with their baking too.

Thank you very much St. Joseph’s Primary Academy – you did a great job!
